On January 12, 2010, at 4:53pm local time, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, approximately 10 miles from Port-au-Prince. Tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people are feared dead, as the capital city has been devastated. You can help. Make a donation to one of these incredible and long-standing organizations in Haiti. They have distributed staff in country now, but most importantly, they are well positioned to aid in the long-term recovery effort.

Yellow Bird Project
Montréal-based non-profit organization Yellow Bird Project teams up with indie musicians to benefit an array of charities by producing high-quality t-shirts with unique designs by the artists themselves.

Grizzly Bear has chosen the Brighter Planet Project Fund and collaborated with William O’Brien, who created the artwork for Veckatimest, on the design. Printed on American Apparel tee.

Brighter Planet
Brighter Planet is a foundation seeking to help reduce our carbon footprint and take control over climate change. The foundation raises money to foster projects that help fight climate change and global warming, and helps individuals mitigate their own environmental footprint.

The band lent some of their songs to director Allison’s short film, “Hobo Clown,” and are fans of her claymation work, so it was only a matter of time before they asked the LA-based artist to create an official video for one of the standout tracks from their new album.

[T]here is a venue change for the Ontario Virgin Festival. The show will now take place at The Molson Amphitheater in Toronto on August 29th & 30th. This was a very difficult decision for Virgin to make but in order to deliver the best experience to the bands and their fans everyone involved felt that this was the best solution. We believe that this will increase the attendance of the festival and we will be able to deliver the same exceptional level of production to the acts.

Tickets will continue to be sold and the show will be setup as follows:

- GA Pit & 200 level will be general admission (existing ticketholders will have priority access to these sections) for $59 / $99 2-day

- 300 level will be reserved seating for $59 / $99 2-day

- 400 level will be reserved for $49 / $89 2-day

- Lawn will be general admission for $39

* All prices + Virgin Unite donation + facility fee.

* New ticket setup shall go on sale Friday or Saturday[...]

Patrons who wish to get a refund for their tickets will be able to do so at the point of purchase.
